Installing software on a Mac:

Installing R:

Please make sure you install the latest version of R (R version 4.3.1).

• Go to http://cran.r-project.org/
• Click on Download R for (Mac) OS X
• Select the latest release R-4.3.1.pkg
• Open and run the executable file to install R
• Might be a good idea to also install or update XQuartz

Installing RStudio:

• Go to http://www.rstudio.com/
• Click on Download and then select the Rstudio Desktop option
• Download the installer for the Mac OS RStudio-XX - Mac OS X 10.6+ (64-bit)
• Open and run the executable file

Installing Python:

• Go to https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.1/python-3.10.1-macos11.pkg.
• If you need another version, go to the python3 downloads: https://code.visualstudio.com/#alt-downloads
• Install python3.

Installing VSCode:

• Go to the: https://code.visualstudio.com/
• It should detect your OS and give you a download link

Installing Anaconda:

• Follow the steps here: https://docs.anaconda.com/free/anaconda/install/mac-os/
